MuPaPu

This short puppet film presents the fragmented journey of a small child who awakens to find herself quietly wandering through a series of surreal landscapes. She finds this world complex, puzzling and overwhelming but just as it seems things are getting a bit too much, the little girl returns home to find just what it is she has been longing for. This is a story about feelings that cannot always be simply expressed in words.

The project is brought to you by MuPaPu, a puppetry project run by Creative Spark, Louth Creative Community Hub through their Community & Good Relations Programme funded by the International Fund for Ireland. Over the course of 6 sessions during the month of April a group of parents and children from Dundalk, Co. Louth got together in Creative Spark to develop a story and to make puppets for a short film to be shown at the 2013 Ards Puppet Festival in co. Down. Creative Spark had showcased its MuPaPu “Muirhevnamor Monster” shadow puppet-show in the 2012 Ards Puppet Festival and is proud to make a return this year with “Little Dreamer”.
