Artist in Residency Programme

This programme supports both emerging and established artists

About the
Creative Spark Residency Programme

The Creative Spark Residency Programme offers visual artists and art professionals the opportunity to research and develop their practices. This programme supports both emerging and established artists working in any medium, with a preference for those focusing on printmaking disciplines. Applications are accepted through an open call and are available to both Irish and international applicants.

Each residency provides a shared studio space at Creative Spark, access to all facilities, and basic technical support.
Facilities include access to our Fine Art Print Studio, Fablab and kiln room. Generously supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, the residency aims to assist artists across all disciplines.

Residencies last for 2-3 months, allowing artists to further establish their practice or explore a new art form. During this period, the selected artist will have access to a fully fitted studio space with a water supply.

At the conclusion of their residency, artists are required to give demonstrations, provide talks on their practice, and donate one piece to the Creative Spark archives. The residency should also include a community participation element and may culminate in a local exhibition of the artist's work.
