Blooming Minds Club

Creative Spark is delighted
to be part of Blooming Minds Club.

Is a youth led artist supported creative arts hub for young people experiencing mental health difficulties based at Creative Spark Dundalk, with outreach workshops occurring in Drogheda Co. Louth.

It's aim is to engage young people experiencing mental health difficulties who are currently attending, or have attended South Louth, North Louth or ELMS CAMHS, in co-designing and producing a creative arts hub where young people can meet together to make artworks of various forms, on a regular basis over a two year period until September 2025.

One of only nine projects selected nationally to receive funding through the Creative Ireland Nurture Fund, a new initiative from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Blooming Minds Club offers a truly unique, innovative and dynamic creative arts programme where the voice of the young people is at the centre. We want to empower young people to develop and engage in artistic projects that can nurture their creative passions, ignite their creative potential and enhance their overall sense of wellbeing and belonging in their community. As part of this pilot project Dr. Áine McHugh, Department of Nursing Midwifery and Early Years, Dundalk Institute of Technology will carry out research on the impact of participation in Blooming Minds.

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming involved there are a number of ways to participate, either as part of our Ambassadors group or by engaging in a creative art workshops.
