Brigid 1500
A Collaborative Artistic Journey
Cruinniú Bhríde - Artist-in-the-Community Exhibition
We are thrilled to contribute to the Brigid 1500 celebrations with our upcoming exhibition, 'Cruinniú Bhríde' - Artist-in-the-Community, opening to the public on January 27th. This showcase exemplifies the collaborative work of 23 groups, each guided by the artistic vision of five lead artists.
The exhibition will run from Saturday 27th January, from 10 am to 5 pm each day, until Monday 5th February. We invite you to join us at 4-5 Clanbrassil Street, Dundalk, (formerly Houston’s), for an experience celebrating Brigid.

Our Print Studio Coordinator, Gráinne Murphy, along with four other artists ,is facilitating a range of workshops under Louth County Council’s Artist in the Community project.
A key part of Louth’s Brigid 1500 programme is to engage communities throughout the county to come together and celebrate the life and legacy of St Brigid. This project is a great opportunity for communities to do this.
Our team of artists includes Susan Farrelly and Una Curley, both experts in textile and mixed media art, as well as Claire McAteer textile and print artist and Etaoin O'Reilly, an accomplished ceramicist. Together, they will lead a series of workshops to create a stunning collection of artworks with groups, inspired by the theme of St. Brigid.
We anticipate the creation of approximately 15 unique art pieces, varying in size and medium. These captivating works of art will take centre stage at a one-of-a-kind exhibition next February as part of the grand Brigid 1500 commemorations.
We are excited to collaborate with various groups, such as the Irish Sign Language Group, Ashton School, Malta Connect, St John of Gods, Ardee Active Retirement, Gaelscoil Dhún Dealgan, Art as Exchange, Cooley Connect, Drogheda Library Book Club, Local artists, AAEX, Sea swimming groups, and Faughart School.
