Date: 20th September 2017
Venue: Creative Spark, Dundalk
Time: 9.30am to 4.30pm
Design thinking combines creative and critical thinking that allows information and ideas to be organised, decisions to be made, situations to be improved, and knowledge to be gained. It’s a mind-set focused on solutions and not the problem. During a typical design process, designers will go through a problem solving process of analysis, synthesis, creativity and execution as they think about, explore, test and decide how to translate the aspirations of the business proposal and the needs of the customer into a final solution. Designers can envision people-centred solutions in both the product-service context and organisational context.
The one day workshop introduces participants to the Design Thinking Process in relation to Business Strategy Development, through highly interactive discussion and application of a range of tools. It combines learning with hands-on practice to give participants the confidence to apply design thinking in their own business strategy development beyond the scope of the workshop.
