Both of these printing techniques are very painterly. This workshop is for complete beginners or people who want to explore and combine new techniques. Carborundum printing is a technique where Carborundum
powder is built up on the surface of the plate using glue. This creates areas of deep tones and textures. The etched lino technique is an exciting technique that combines intaglio type mark making with traditional relief printing techniques. Participants will create a small edition of finished prints on the day and experiment with different techniques and mark making possibilities to create unique pieces.
