Creativity & Mental Health Event at Creative Spark as part of First Fortnight 2017

On Wednesday 11 January 2017 Creative Spark will host its first event as part of the First Fortnight Festival. First Fortnight is a charity-based organisation which aims to challenge mental health prejudice through the creative arts.

Creative Spark has partnered with Inspire Wellbeing to host an evening of talks, sound and image, exploring how creative activity can help improve our state of mind.

Running from 7.00 – 9.00 pm, the event will feature Grainne Hope of Kids’ Classics, a not-for-profit organisation that provides high quality music making opportunities in educational, healthcare and community settings; Pamela Whitaker of Groundswell, a consultancy dedicated to socially engaged environmental projects, arts and health residencies, and art therapy; Úna Curley, and artist whose work questions issues such as injustice, the worryingly fast pace of living, rate of consumption and subsequent waste
