Gyotaku is the traditional Japanese method of printing from fish, a practice which dates back to the mid-1800s. This workshop will take you through the process of discovering the different types of fish, examining the biological structure and preparing them for printing; understanding paper and how important it is in the printing of an image; then printing up and working on the finished images with watercolour, pen and ink.
