This printing technique is very painterly. This workshop is for complete beginners or people who want to explore and combine new techniques. Carborundum printing is a technique where Carborundum
powder is built up on the surface of the plate using glue. This creates areas of deep tones and textures. This workshop will experiment with photographic and painterly techniques to give an etched effect without chemicals and toxins. Participants will create a small edition of finished prints on the day and experiment with different techniques and mark making possibilities to create unique pieces.
