Residents Exhibition Come to the Edge

Creative Spark welcomes you to the first Creative Spark residency exhibition “Come to the Edge” at An Táin Arts Centre.

2nd Sep – 17th Oct 2015

Residency programmes are established to support artists through offering studio space, research time, resources and creative opportunities they may not otherwise have in their own studio or practice. The aim of the Creative Spark Residency Programme is to give a ‘lift’ or a ‘push’ to artists in the hope that they will expand grow both as artists and creative and cultural enterprises.

With the generous support of Create Louth we launched the Creative Spark Residency programe in September 2014. In its first year it has provided opportunities for four artists to explore and develop their practice. During their time at Creative Spark all four artists were involved in aspects of Creative Spark’s community relations programme and were integrated into the community of creative enterprises working at Creative Spark.

The artists involved in the 2014-2015 Creative Spark Residency Programme were Omin (County Louth), Anna Marie Savage (County Down), Fiona Marron (County Monaghan) and Amelia Steely (USA).

We are delighted that Create Louth will support a further residency programme for 2015-2016 and take this opportunity to thank Create Louth, Louth Local Authorities Arts Service for their continued support.
