Creative Spark/TechIreland

This report and supporting database of Creative Industries & Design Technology companies in the North-East was commissioned by Creative Spark, Centre for Innovation and Creativity, which supports and promotes the creative and design industries in the region. The study was carried out in conjunction with the North-East Regional Enterprise Development Plan to 2024. An expert group of stakeholders from the region and representatives from the Local Enterprise Offices in counties Cavan, Louth and Monaghan provided direction in shaping the objectives of this study which was undertaken by TechIreland, the body that tracks and promotes the Irish tech community.

This project involves a talent-mapping of counties Louth, Monaghan and Cavan and a database of the region’s capacity and potential in the Creative Industries & Design sectors. It is hoped that the study will inform a campaign to recruit businesses to the region and encourage smart and remote workers to both remain in and relocate to the region.
