The object of the exercise is for participants to design and print a carborundum print to the edge of the paper which will have a deckle edge. Several plates can be used to print various colours. A step by step analysis of the technique will be shown from design stage, application of carborundum to plate, wiping, and finally, printing on an intaglio press using Fabriano paper.
