Artist talk - Robert Kelly
Robert Kelly works in printmaking techniques, including Etching, Carborundum, Lithography, and Letterpress printing. His practice is studio-based and process-led, where themes of interdependence and interconnectivity intuitively emerge through playfulness and exploration. A key aspect of this exploratory approach is the focus on creating images unique to the printmaking process. For him, all art is about perception. His non-representational work alludes to a kind of visual poetry that arises from a subliminal space where experience, memory, and imagination collide through the interaction of materials and printmaking processes.
