Emily McGardle
Emily Mc Gardle is a printmaker from County Monaghan. Using hand drawn artwork, she creates multi-layer screenprints which combine humour, satire, and parody. She graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2016 with a First Class Honours in Fine Art and was the inaugural recipient of the Mont Kavanagh Trust Fine Art Award (from the DIT Foundation). She received a master's in printmaking from the Royal College of Art, London in 2020 and was awarded the Augustus Martin Print Prize. Before attending the RCA, she worked as a commercial screenprinter for a number of years. In 2021, Emily received an artist bursary from Droichead Arts Centre. She has received an Emerging Talent Award from Monaghan County Council's Artist Support Scheme in 2021 and 2022.
