Julie Corcoran
My name is Julie Corcoran (b1978) and I live in Cavan. I’m based at Bó Studios, Dundalk and I work through the mediums of photography and printmaking. I’m represented by ArtisAnn Gallery, Belfast, SolArt Gallery, Dublin and Hambly & Hambly, Enniskillen.
My most recent award was a three month Creative Spark Artist Residency (March - May 2024).
Recent projects include Irish Sign Language AAEX workshops and exhibition, Hidden Abilities at Droichead Arts Centre, September 2023. In 2022, the AAEX ISL workshops in An Táin and Droichead Arts Centre won the Louth Public Participation Network Cultural Award 2022.
My first solo exhibition, Looking for Light, toured from Leitrim to Monaghan finishing up in Belfast (2021/2022).
I have collaborated on numerous projects from a Cross Border Peace IV photographic project, ‘Peaceful Photography’ in 2019 to Awash With Colour in 2021/2022 with AAEX (Arts as Exchange) and MOPOSOGS. The resulting exhibitions took place in Cavan, Monaghan, Louth and Tyrone.
My work is in private and public collections here and abroad. I’m a member of Visual Artists Ireland, Creative Spark Print Studio, AAEX and Bó Studios.
