Our Event

Join artist in residence Alice Bertolasi on an art walk around Dundalk Saturday 21st May. The walk will give people the chance to learn about the French drawing technique of 'frottage'.

Frottage is the French word for “rubbing”, which involves using graphite or pencil and paper to take rubbings of surfaces. Experiment with texture, play with the elements of composition and shape, try different mark making materials, and layer colours to create unique pieces.

Participants will meet at Creative Spark Downtown hub. From there we will set out will capture places of interest and significance which are discovered along the way. Mapping the town of Dundalk through surfaces and seeing the town in a new way.

Materials will be supplied.
