Olga Danilova
Olga Danilova is Creative Spark’s Artist-in-Residence from May to July. Olga specialises in linocut printmaking and is based in Saint Petersburg, Russia. In 2014 Olga graduated from State Academy of Art of I .E. Repin in Faculty of Graphic Art. In 2015 Olga was part of Black Church Print Studio art residence in Dublin and completed a lino project called “The Relationship of Colour”. She has exhibited her work in exhibitions such as “National Original Print Exhibition” Bankside Gallery London, “St. Petersburg’s Art Week” Saint Petersburg, “Impression Of The City” Estonia and “House Fair Vantaa 2015” Finland.
While Olga is at Creative Spark, she hopes to explore a series of coloured linocuts which will be printed in different states of nature i.e. day, night, rain and fog. At the end of Creative Spark’s residence Olga will have an exhibition showcasing 6/7 Linocuts each consisting of 3/4 colours.
