Blathnaid is a Dundalk-based designer with a Bachelors in Fashion Design (NCAD), and a post-grad in Bespoke Tailoring (National Tailoring Academy, Dublin).

Her work is largely influenced by print and applied texture on fabric. She has previously created pieces with hand-painted silk and silk fibres bonded onto wool.

Reoccurring themes influencing her work include German Expressionist films from the 1920’s and the stark black and white Chiaroscuro lighting effects used.
